Art Therapy

So this time I have been away because I've been spending very little time on the computer and a lot of time doing ART! We are still not in our home, so I've been driving myself crazy thinking of ideas that I cannot implement. I finally got tired of thinking and decided to make something. It has been so much fun! The end result is a 30"x40" canvas to hang in our home. The fun part about this project is that I didn't use paint. It is a collage of pictures and words that I tore out of magazines as well as some photographs. I will first show you the finished picture, and then some close-ups of different parts.

Love it! I wish I could see it in person. As you know the complete image isn't represented on the blog as you intended so the small close ups were very helpful.
As always, you are an inspiration!

What a wonderful thing - God is giving you time to do this very expressive piece of art for your home - so when your heart is ready - you can move into the new home! Love it really Sarah - absolutely love the close up of the Panama section.

What is the C. S. Lewis quote? Can't read it? Looks like a picture of the kids from Narnia on Aslan? Aunt B

Sarah- Your blog has yet again left me in amazement. Not only has the Lord blessed you with words in your writings, it looks like you are very talented with art also. That is one of the neatest pictures. I love it- Allison from Iowa.

Thanks guys!

Mollie: I'm not opposed to working on commission... never tried before... :-) Up until now I've only done artwork for spaces I've designed (for friends and family) or for my own personal enjoyment.

Belinda: It says "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" and is a picture of a couple of the kids on Aslan. (John read a number of the books to Ellie over the years.)

Sarah,

Awesome.

Beautiful.

I keep looking at all the separate parts - it is so interesting!

I marveled at your painting on the front of the chapel and now I marvel anew at this eye-catching work of art. Especially love the parts where Ethan and Ellie are 'peeking out'...priceless.

I also loved the head scarves you made out of the cotton handkerchiefs for Ellie last summer - and thought at the time how beautiful and special they are-would love to see these mass produced for all young girls with cancer. They are simply wonderful.

God has given you many wonderful talents.

hugs.

Sarah, I must say that is one of the most beautiful collage pieces I have ever seen. You have more patience than I do. I do hope we get a chance to see more of these. You really should consider selling them!

Keep up the good work!

Sarah,
I have to say that I agree with everyone.....it is amazing! I think I like all the green. It is beautiful in an uplifting sort of way. A perfect piece of art for a perfect little cottage. Can I say big now that it has doubled in size?
My day was so much better after talking with La last night. I called asking about hay, but that was just an excuse to get to talk to her and see how you are all doing!
Bailey was riding her horse bareback yesterday and I looked over just as she bounced right off the side. But she was still holding the reins from the ground! I am sure that Ellie had something to do with it because she swung right around and landed right in front of her next step.......it was an angel sort of thing because BeeBop stopped instantly so she wouldn't step on Bailey. There are angels among us!
We miss you all terribly bad and hope to see you very soon.
Much Loves~Jen
