An Ellie Ballet

Ellie still loves to dance! We could only get 30 second video clips, so we have captured this particular dance in three segments. It's the two verses and chorus of one song. Enjoy!

I know, I know... two entries in one night... it's a miracle!

She looks beautiful! I am a friend of your Aunt Donna and have a 14 yr old that has been dancing for over 10 years. We have many of her old costumes and if you think Ellie would enjoy dressing up in them to dance I would gladly send them to you. Praise God for bringing Ellie to a place where she can enjoy dancing again! If you want the costumes please send me your address at my e-mail zettravpa@aol.com

Dancing With God
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
I HOPE YOU DANCE

Thank you so much for sharing these videos with us- I first began reading your blog and praying daily for her when Ellie was in ped intensive in NY - the Lord has choreographed quite a dance for her! After all - as the song says - He is the "Lord of the Dance" - and Ellie is His sweet child.

Hi! This is Alexa. I was so impressed that you were dancing already. Keep dancing and dancing and dancing until you get out of breath. I am in ballet. I know how it feels. My teacher is Miss Kari and she wroks us really hard. And I am amazed that your hair is growing! I saw your three videos of your dancing and you dance beautifully. Bye, Ellie.
Love, Alexa (6 yrs. old)

WAY more energy than most of today's TV-watching children! She looks like the picture of health. We'll just keep praying.
